United Utilities have announced they will be carrying out emergency work on a collapsed pipe between the Black Lion Pub and Indian Ocean Restaurant on Welsh Row. This will mean closing off part of Welsh Row for approximately two weeks from Monday 3rd March. Although this will mean work is being carried out to the front of our properties, The Cheshire Cat and Firenze will remain open as usual with full pedestrian access for visitors and residents of Welsh Row. There will be limited access for through-traffic but we have been assured that our customers and suppliers will be able to gain access to our car park as usual via the crossroads at Water-Lode (B5341), on to Welsh Row and turning right in to First Wood Street – exiting our car park via the one way system back on to Welsh Row. The upper end of Welsh Row will be open to traffic proceeding to the A534 by turning right at Malbank School and will be sign-posted as the diversion route.
Please allow a little extra time than usual to ensure you are able to park up in plenty of time for any reservations made and take extra care when making your way in to the buildings.
If you have any concerns on access, or feel you may need extra assistance, please call in advance on 01270 623020 or email hello@thecatatnantwich.com
