**NEWSFLASH**LIVE MUSIC FROM JOSHUA WHITTAKER THIS SUNDAY!**

We are delighted to announce local talent Josh Whittaker will performing here at The Cheshire Cat on Sunday 7th September as part of our Nantwich Food and Drink Festival celebrations. Watch him perform in our bar area from 5.30pm and enjoy some of our delicious food and drink offerings as the festival winds down.

Josh Whittaker, a Nantwich teenager won a place in the regional finals of the prestigious Open Mic UK competition in August. The 14 year old singer was amongst 100s of hopefuls who auditioned at Studio 25 in Manchester in front of a panel of music industry specialists including Jill Bowyer from Salford City Radio, Peter Ross from AStar Studios and Darran Barker from DB Management. 

Josh’s performance of “Homeward Bound” by Simon & Garfunkel was praised for its “tone and control” and got him through to the next round of the competition.
